Goldback Tracker Privacy Policy

Goldback Tracker (“the App”) is a collection-management tool for Goldback notes. This policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and what choices you have.
Summary
- Your collection data is stored locally on your device.
- We do not operate user accounts.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Information you enter
The App lets you record collection details such as states, years, denominations, quantities, purchase and sale prices, notes, and optional photos of your Goldbacks. This information is saved in a local database on your device. It is not transmitted to us or stored on our servers.
Photos
If you choose to attach a photo to a collection item, the App requests access to your photo library. Photos you select are copied into the App’s private storage on your device. We do not upload your photos to our servers.
Export and backup
You may export your collection as a CSV file or back up your database using the iOS share sheet. When you export or share, you choose the destination (for example, Files, Mail, or AirDrop). We do not receive a copy of exported data.
Network use
The App makes limited network connections for public, non-personal content:
- Exchange rate — The App may fetch the public Goldback daily exchange rate from goldback.com over HTTPS. A cached rate may be stored locally on your device for up to 24 hours. You can refresh or manually override the rate.
- Catalog images — Artwork images may load from Goldback’s public CDN to display catalog reference images in the App.
- External links — The App can open third-party websites you choose to visit, such as the Eclectic Coins mintage chart, in your browser.
These requests do not include your collection entries, photos, or other personal content.
Device storage
The App uses local device storage (including SQLite and preferences) to remember your collection, cached exchange rate, and display settings. Deleting the App removes this local data from your device unless you have exported a backup elsewhere.
Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
